When the first blurry leaked images of this Rolex surfaced, I assumed it featured a traditional tiger’s eye dial. The details were hard to make out, and tiger’s eye seemed like the logical guess. Honestly, I think that would have been a more visually appealing choice. Instead, what we got is the Rolex GMT-Master II 126715CHNR, better known as the Root Beer GMT, outfitted with a dial made from tiger iron. Despite my initial skepticism, seeing it in person made it clear that my curiosity was justified.
Most people are already familiar with the Rolex GMT-Master II. It is a cornerstone of the brand’s lineup, a model that countless enthusiasts have seen and handled. The 18k Everose gold Root Beer edition adds noticeable heft thanks to its gold construction, although the dimensions stay consistent. Whether or not a tool replica watch should be crafted in full gold is another debate altogether. On the wrist, the 40mm case fits comfortably, especially with proper sizing. The tactile experience of the Triplock crown and the bidirectional bezel is unrivaled. Rolex Replica has truly perfected these components, leaving little room for criticism.

Its polished finish and vivid striations allow shades of brown, yellow, red, gray, and even green to flash momentarily as light plays across the surface. This ever-changing display is what makes multi-colored stone dials so mesmerizing, and here it is executed with real flair.
Powering this replica watch is Rolex’s Caliber 3285 automatic movement. It offers “flyer” GMT functionality, allowing the 12-hour hand to be adjusted independently for local time. Ultimately, the appeal of this model lies heavily in its initial novelty. After spending time with it, I feel that the intrigue may not be enough to sustain long-term fascination.
